A Legacy Of Prayer

In 1889, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore founded Unity after Myrtle’s own healing through prayer. They shared a New Thought vision of practical Christianity, launching Unity magazine to inspire seekers worldwide. This sparked a global movement and the creation of Silent Unity, a 24-hour prayer ministry.Following this path, Unity of Kona began with a local group devoted to affirmative prayer and spiritual potential.Today, we are a vibrant ohana in Kailua-Kona, honoring the inherent goodness in all. We continue the Fillmores' legacy by providing a sanctuary for service, meditation, and sacred connection.Silent Unity remains a beacon of light for those seeking comfort and strength, continuing the tradition of perpetual prayer that has sustained millions for over a century.

Our Living Legacy

Living Our Principles

Unity of Kona is built on the power of spiritual discovery and divine love. For generations, our ohana has gathered in Kailua-Kona to honor the light within every individual, creating a sanctuary where heart and mind align in peace. Today, we continue to steward the teachings of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore through the lens of modern Aloha. We practice Pono by serving our island with integrity, ensuring our message of inherent goodness remains a vibrant beacon for all future seekers.
